CollabGPS Referral Program Terms & Conditions

These Referral Program Terms & Conditions (“Referral Terms”) govern participation in the CollabGPS Referral Program (the “Program”). By participating in the Program, you agree to these Referral Terms, as well as the CollabGPS Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If there is any conflict, these Referral Terms control.

1. Eligibility

To participate in the Referral Program, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Maintain an active CollabGPS account in good standing
  • Comply with all CollabGPS platform rules and applicable laws

Users who are banned, suspended, or inactive may not earn new referral bonuses during the period of restriction or inactivity.

2. Referral Tracking & Code Usage

  • Referrals are tracked exclusively through a unique referral code assigned to each eligible user (“Referrer”).
  • A referral is considered valid only if the referred user (“Referee”):
    1. Uses a referral code at signup
    2. Completes a free trial (if applicable)
    3. Successfully converts to a paid CollabGPS membership

3. Referral Rewards

Referrers may earn the following one-time referral bonuses, subject to eligibility and account status:

  • $5 USD for each Referee who converts from a free trial to a monthly paid membership
  • $10 USD for each Referee who converts from a free trial to an annual paid membership

Referral rewards are awarded per Referee and are not recurring.

There is no limit to the number of users an eligible Referrer may refer.

4. Active Membership Requirement

Referral bonuses are earned only while the Referrer maintains an active CollabGPS account.

  • If a Referrer cancels their CollabGPS account, referral bonuses will no longer accumulate, even if:
    • The referral code is still shared
    • New users sign up using that code
    • Referred users convert to paid memberships after cancellation

Any referral activity that occurs while the Referrer’s account is inactive, canceled, suspended, or banned is not eligible for bonus earnings.

5. Pending Period & Bonus Verification

  • Referral bonuses are not immediately earned.
  • All bonuses remain pending for 30 days following the Referee’s successful paid conversion.
  • This pending period exists to account for:
    • Chargebacks
    • Refunds
    • Payment reversals

Only after the 30-day period has passed without issue and the Referrer remains eligible will a bonus be marked as earned.

6. Chargebacks, Reversals, and Bonus Revocation

If a Referee initiates a chargeback, receives a refund, or has payment reversed for any reason, CollabGPS reserves the right to:

  • Cancel pending bonuses
  • Revoke earned bonuses
  • Deduct bonus amounts from future payouts or account balances

This applies even if a bonus was previously marked as earned.

7. Account Status & Earnings

  • Users who are banned or suspended may not accrue new referral bonuses.
  • However, if a user has:
    • Legitimately earned referral bonuses while active
    • Met the applicable minimum payout threshold
    • Not violated referral or fraud policies

CollabGPS may, at its discretion, still process a payout for those earned bonuses.

8. Payout Method

  • For US account holder, referral payouts are issued exclusively via Venmo.
  • For those not in the US, we offer Paypal.  Please note, if you choose Paypal as your payout method, you will be subject to Paypal’s fees for receiving payments.
  • No alternative payout methods are available at this time.
  • To receive a payout, users must:
    • Have an active Venmo or Paypal account
    • Submit a payout request through the CollabGPS platform
    • Provide accurate Venmo or Paypal 
    • account information

CollabGPS is not responsible for failed payouts due to incorrect, unavailable, restricted, or non-compliant Venmo or Paypal accounts.

9. Minimum Payout Threshold

  • The minimum payout threshold is $10 USD.
  • Referral balances below the threshold remain in the account until the minimum is met.
  • CollabGPS reserves the right to change the minimum payout amount at any time, with or without notice.
  • The threshold in effect at the time a payout request is submitted will apply.

10. Fraud, Abuse, and Review

The following actions are prohibited:

  • Self-referrals
  • Creating or using multiple accounts to manipulate referrals
  • Reusing or attempting to reuse referral codes
  • Referring fake, duplicate, or fraudulent users
  • Attempting to earn bonuses while inactive, canceled, suspended, or banned
  • Any deceptive, abusive, or misleading conduct

CollabGPS reserves the right to withhold payouts for fraud review, delay or deny payouts, reverse bonuses, suspend or terminate accounts, and permanently disqualify users from the Referral Program. All determinations are made at CollabGPS’s sole discretion.

11. Taxes, W-9, and IRS Reporting (U.S. Users)

Referral bonuses may constitute taxable income.

If you are located in the United States and your total referral payouts from CollabGPS reach or exceed $600 USD in a single calendar year, you will be required to complete and submit a Form W-9. CollabGPS will report applicable income to the IRS and issue a Form 1099 at the beginning of the following year.

Failure to provide required tax information may result in delayed or withheld payouts.

Users are solely responsible for all applicable taxes. CollabGPS does not provide tax advice.

12. Program Changes or Termination

CollabGPS reserves the right to modify, pause, or terminate the Referral Program at any time, including changes to reward amounts, eligibility requirements, payout thresholds, verification processes, or tax compliance requirements, with or without notice.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CollabGPS is not liable for lost bonuses, delayed payouts, tracking errors, fraud determinations, technical failures, tax reporting obligations, or Venmo-related payment issues.

14. Governing Law

These Referral Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Daddy Media, LLC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
